Havent done any research to see what chemical it is. I remember there was talk about this a few years ago- I wonder how the drug laws will account for this new drug?

No its a new alcohol derived drug. Plenty of other alcohols get you drunk, some are much more potent, others much more dangerous. The idea here was to create a "Synthahol" equivalent:)

Not the best source, but his wiki page says that the drug is based on benzodiazapines.

It raises a good point/debate but if you wanted to get blind drunk ( perfectly legal). But you were offered a tablet that would do

the EXACT thing and had no heath risks . Would you choose a tablet over the grog .

This latest press release doesn't seem to have any more info than any of his previous ones.

Is this whole 'instant' antidote thing new to pharmaceuticals? I can't think of anything else quite like it besides maybe Chlorpromazine and lucy.

whatever it is will almost certainly be illegal under our broad analogue laws...

and i'd be happy to drop a pill and drink sparkling apple juice instead. alcohol really doesn't agree with me.
