Nemisty Posted October 5, 2013 Interesting.... Huanduj had a brief note on breeding variegated plants saying that any resulting crosses always end up albino ( I think thats what I read from memory anyway )

Raoul Duke Posted October 10, 2013 I'd be interested if there's any left and have grown from seed successfully before. Just looked up that Huanduj book, looks like another I'll have to get. I've got the Ulrike and Hans-Georg Preissel book but that looks like a far superior specimen. Thanks obtuse I don't know how I didn't know about that one.
obtuse Posted October 10, 2013 I held off getting huanduj. i regret it now as its so beautiful. The great thing about it is that its not just flowers but a great essay on the botany and distribution of brugmansia as a Genus. Lots of photos of plants in situ. Seriously tempting to base a trek around equador using the locations. The Ulrike and Hans-Georg Preissel book is still good, but you are right, this book takes it to a whole new level. enohpi-zeekim Posted October 17, 2013 Oh that's ok buddy. When you are able. I know what it's like when you get doing different things and suddenly there's not enough time for everything. I'm patient when people offer gifts. I'll be keeping my eyes out for any new breeds to send photos in case I can send a return favour.
