Um... wasn't so much of an issue when Mt Tamborine or another outdoor venue was being considered. Now that we are meeting at 2Deep's... he's perfectly behaved (in fact he's quite shy after his spinal injury and we're socialising him with other dogs and people). Gollum Posted September 23, 2012 Yeah just wanted to say thanks as well. I had a great time. Must admit i was a little nervous at first, meeting new people always makes me a bit shy. But after being introduced to you all i felt very comfortable. If anything i felt a bit uneducated as there were lots of people there that really knew their shit. It was interesting just listening to conversations and learning new things. A very special thank you to 2deep and Darkspark for making everything happen and providing a great venue and comfortable surroundings. Cheers heaps for all the plants too! Sorry i couldnt stay for the bbq, i was having such a good time that i lost track and forgot i had another commitment later in the arvo. It was great to see you again Andyamine and meet Gem, lovely genuine people. And good to put a face to the name Jox, shame you couldnt stay longer. I really look forward to the next meet guys. gem Posted September 24, 2012 Had a fantastic afternoon with the GC SAB members Massive thanks to DarkSpark and 2Deep for making it happen and 2Deep - thank you and your folks for being such gracious hosts and providing such a beautiful venue! Like Gollum, I'm always nervous meeting new people for the first time but 2Deep was already coming out to the car to greet us and I felt so comfortable and welcomed by everyone there. Glad that pretty much everyone could make it was a little unsure for a while there that maybe me and 2deep were going to be the only ones there Funny how i thought i had brought down aheap of goodies for trade and giveaway and yet i still feel like everyone else outdid me. Some nice new plants making their way into my garden and yours! Gem and Andy, was nice to meet you you are always welcome to stop off at my place on the way though for a bit of a breather. MAryborough may not have much else to visit but i am here Gollum, was great to see you there mate and even better to see you, like me coming out of your shell later in the day. The environment was just so welcoming i really felt for the first time in awhile like people actually understood what i was talking about and it was great to share knowlege and learn tips/tricks from each other. Jox, man i swear you look familiar right from the get go. It wouldn't surprise me what a spin out that pretty much all of us knew some of the local nerang boys way back in the day. those cacti seedlings have gone to agood home cant wait to get them bigger!
