my bands new PR idea

Recommended Posts

hey guys, so I play in a punk rock band and were about to get re-active after changing our name and getting an extra member. to start the ball rolling we decided to try a poster run, b&w ends up being 12c an a3, so super cheap too.. so far theyve been sent off to perth, act, sydney, wollongong, prague and nyc. yeew.

anyways heres the poster, sort of a silly/awkward question i guess, but whadayas think...

ps i am each or every member of this band, nobody in particular hahahaha

Me too. A cap embossed with the Eye of Providence on the visor has got to be a SAB dude !

Anyway, I like the poster too for a punk band. Do you ever play the filthy Lansdowne, if so I'll come and rock out with my cock out sometime, and throw shit at the stage.

Man it's so refreshing (hmm, not really the right word) to hear some oldschool punk, instead of that kiddiepop punk shyte that's been popular for the last 15 years. Rock on, bitches. And keep us posted with gig dates/venues.

10 is like over an hour away :(

Haha

Thanks psylo, that's how it even feels playing it tbh. We've all played in shitty bands but it feels proper this time so its balls out as of May with heaps of gigs all over the east coast. I'll Definatly keep posting dates for you guys in here, currently there is Wednesday 9th in wollongong, more bout that to come

nah i'm in melbourne, but my supervisor comes from wollongong uni and our little team has close ties there, so next time i'm over there i'll get in touch. it was only for a day this time so really no time to do anything, it was a fly in fly out sort of thing.

that's a fucking cool poster man

and i like the idea of using original / diy art to promote music

music posters are like an part of street art - just about the only nice thing to look at in the city!

I don't know about that. Newtown in Sydney's inner west is bursting with some amazing graffiti these days.

hmm it kinda sounds like i was saying band posters are the only good thing...

i meant street art in general (incl. band posters and graffiti) is the only nice thing to look at in the city
