Maybe to feel.. smell..

or taste a little leaf and see?

I reckon micropyhlla has potential..

Said todays taste buds.

But then again, I also 'speak' with

the lawn

so don't mind me : )

I tasted a flower chewing it up and then spat it out, it was very bitter. I'm thinking I might have to do some research with this one, I think it might have some magic.

I only just got it, so unsure of the seed setting ability. I also found some SALVIA guaranitica from the markets today which apparently contains some interesting stuff. I may have to give the Salvias a better look.

i am sure it has some potential application,

Salvia splendens 'Vista Purple' or 'Salsa Purple' or maybe 'Empire Purple' or some other purple strain of this species... there are a few

that is what i would wager it to represent

I don't know if it is magic though...

I bought one with similar flowers to this one years ago. The seller told me it was called Salvia Bombora. Know idea how much truth is in it.

The first pic looks like a Salvia splendens cultivar. The leaves are large and ovate with a sharp point. The calyx appears tubular and is almost the same color as the corolla. These are distinguishing characteristics of Salvia splendens.

Salvia Scarlea? But you're probably right, some Splenden cultivar.
