sclaws Posted April 23, 2011 Hi All, I've been growing lophophora for over 20 years (1000 plus plants now) and I want to say what it is a sweet surprise to encounter a site that contains decent information with contributors that actually know what they are talking about. I get so tired of people talking nonsense about lophophora, the quality of the plants, information and comment on this site is a breath of fresh air! A great shame you are all so far away (I live in the uk) as I am always keen to swop seeds for the sake of genetic diversity. Anyway- just wanted to compliment you all on a cool and informative site- respect! Regards, Sclaws

sclaws Posted April 24, 2011 Thanks for kind words, agreed- lophs are the first amongst cacti! Happy to post more pictures of my collection although not sure where to start. Here are two of my favourite specimens...she's about 13cm in diameter, has never produced pups but produces 30 plus flower each summer. ...Here's another- I bought this one from an elderly gent some years back and have a vague suspicion that it might be a habitat plant although he couldn't be sure...the largest head (in bloom) is about 6cm in diameter. mutant Posted May 11, 2011 (edited) ^^^^^ What they all said except from the lopho being the best genus of all cacti part wow 1000+ !!! .... I am sure you have a non lopho cactus, huh?? I got some lophos, but I am still learning what they like and what not. Variety seems to play a role... welcome to the board. PS: A non pupping lopho is a special one, I think too...
