Wow, so far there have been no responses but 33 views. Obviously a confounding plant. My first impression would just be T. cuzcoensis, but there is certainly something different about it. Who knows? Is it a "torch"? Well that depends on what you mean.

Can you post a bigger shot? or at least a close up of some of the areoles and spines from the lower half of the plant?

Looks Cuzco to me. Either way it NEEDS some light, it is growing extremely pale! Put it in a sunny spot, not direct sun cause the pale skin can burn easily. When it is all green again you can put it in full sun.

The ribs (sinuous) and areoles (big) look cuzco to me. However, I think it is possibly a hybrid of a more textbook cuzcoensis and possibly a bridgesii/peruvianus/macrogonus because of the spine arrangement (less uniform than most cuzcoensis I've seen). Considering the guy also gave you a bridgesii, depending on his reasons for owning these plant - it could indeed be much closer to a peruvianus.

looks allot like my T. cuzcoensis

A couple of growing seasons in full sun will make a big difference to the plant
