Bioassay on Kronic - Skunk Blend

Recommended Posts

I personally haven't tried Kronic, but I've read a few reports of some quite negative effects, where users were unsure if they were physical or anxiety.

I've also read negative reports for Billy Bong Bud.

I have, however, tried Tai High and love it. I have only tried the Bubble Berry one at the moment, but it's smooth and you don't need much.

I bought a sample pack but haven't tried the other blends yet.

I've smoked the real stuff before, but found this better. I'm not a heavy smoker, and find it easy to get couch-locked on the real stuff. With this, I don't feel that way at all and don't get paranoia. I've also found a general hazy feeling afterwards with the real stuff. This seems somewhat diminished with synthetics.

From what I've heard people say, Tai High is actually cheaper than Kronic. I personally haven't investigated this and compared the two, I only went for Tai High because it seems as though there aren't many (or any?) negative reports.

Also, what annoys me is that uranalysis shows trace amounts in your system. So if you smoke on the weekend and turn up to work SOBER, they can still sack you. Very ridiculous. A Hunter company in the last few days announced they've created a uranalysis test for Kronic due to pressure from mining companies. From what I understand, Kronic contains several varieties of JWH-*, so I'm not sure exactly which ones they test for.

EDIT: I must say.. I just did search for Kronic prices and wow, it seems MUCH more expensive than Tai High. Again though, I haven't tried Kronic so I'm not sure of its potency, except to say with Tai High you don't need much at all. Also take note that I'm a light weight.

Given there hasn't been extensive testing and we don't fully know what's in various blends, I'd suggest sticking to official resellers. Anywhere else would just increase the likelihood of god knows what being added.

kronic being more potent than weed isnt an issue. it's if it's more efficacious.

and yeah i agree mesc, it would be cool to have unopened ones. i try to collect them, but curiosity/temptation often get the better of me...

i wish i had an original 'spice' packet.

POLICE have charged the first person in Western Australia with possession of the now illegal cannabis substitute Kronic, which was outlawed last Friday.

An Albany man has been charged with possessing 6g of the synthetic cannabinoid after the product was allegedly found during a vehicle stop.

He is due to appear in court on July 5.

Last week, WA became the first state to outlaw synthetic cannabis products when the State Government announced new laws banning the substance.

Until Friday, the products, which mimic the effects of marijuana and had been sold legally at adult shops and tobacconists in Australia.

But the product has been banned in several countries, including Chile, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Health experts say the legal weed is potentially 100 times stronger than cannabis, with adverse effects including heart palpitations, hallucinations, delusions and psychosis.

Kronic contains synthetic cannabinoids, which reportedly produce feelings of euphoria and relaxation. But it does not contain THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis that makes it a prohibited drug in Australia.

OMG !!!

all i can say is holy shit.

well worth the read...

SYNTHETIC cannabis that can be bought legally by children as young as 10 is expected to be banned in Victoria.

The drug has been being sold under the brand name Kronic - as well as Purple Haze, Voodoo and Kaos - for as little as $19 a gram. This is less than the market price for illegal marijuana.

The synthetic version of the drug is made from herbs and chemicals including tetrahydrocannabinol, the active substance in cannabis.

After Western Australia and Tasmania moved this week to outlaw synthetic cannabis, Premier Ted Baillieu said yesterday his government was working to define the problem before deciding on legislation.

"Common sense will tell you that any drug which is designed to manipulate people's minds is a potential issue and this drug, as I understand it, caused significant problems in communities already," he said.

But the drug's makers claim they have already found a way to get around the ban in WA. They announced on their website a new "Aussie Gold" formula that they said would still be legal.

The makers also invited users to "blaze" the last of their stashes at a state-funded music venue in Perth tonight, with the concert to finish one minute before the substance becomes illegal.

But drug reform lobbyists say the rise of products such as Kronic show Australia should move to legalise marijuana.

Families and Friends for Drug Law Reform president Brian McConnell said legalisation would allow the government to regulate markets and stop development of products designed to bring about a similar high.

"The only way drug markets are controlled at the moment is through violence from criminals," he said.

Jon Currie, of the department of addiction medicine at St Vincent's Hospital, said one or two people each week were seeking help because of Kronic. He said it was not typically the main cause of injuries or illness but sometimes contributed to car accidents or posed a risk when mixed with other drugs.

"Basically, you just change a few molecules and it becomes no longer illegal," he said.
