The Tinkerer Posted March 26, 2005 My gnome was just wondering, if he kept the liquid from his syrian rue extraction in a sealed container in the fridge, how long will it last before it looses its goodness?
Torsten Posted March 26, 2005 it should have some funky fungus floating on it wihtin a few weeks, which may detract from its 'goodness', but not from its potency
smogs Posted March 27, 2005 is there anotehr type of rue... i saw in a nursery the other day "rue" and it was a oasis herb i think... anyways the description had "used to ward off evil spitits and protect against witchery" it tasted like rubber... like a tire inner tube (dont ask). Rev Posted April 12, 2005 i saw the 'piss off' plant in the richters catalogue not exactly the same cultivar as our 'dogbane' but its very closely related i think they said its a plectranthus sp.
Torsten Posted April 12, 2005 The piss off plant is a bit of a scam. Some german guy apparently crossed a couple of Pleccies - one from Oz and one from south africa, to produce the plant. He patented it. Richters prolly got it through their german distributor. Problem is that it looks and smells exactly like Coleus cannis.... ie whatever the accepted name of it is these days eg Plectranthus. The freaky thing about this plant is that it smells like fresh (ie wet green growing) cannabis .... (umm, so I hear). Does it work? yes, on some dogs. But not on all.
