T. peruvianus crest

Recommended Posts

Well i contacted the seller about the origins of this "seedling". To me it has clearly been cut and re-rooted or grafted earlier on and degrafted but according to hamiltons this plant is a seedling that has never been grafted nor is it just a cutting! Really it makes lil difference to me but if there was a case of rot on the base that needed to be cut off and the plant re-rooted then imo that is info that should be passed to the purchaser especially considering there are 3 parties involved and it wasnt cheap. Anyways, what do you guys think???

yep your right it looks to be a cutting, and with the root system being so small it couldnt have be growing on its own for long.

it definitly looks like 2 monstrose branchs are forming on the left,so over all a great score!

Yeh the 2 smaller branches are forming into crests also. I agree that it is a cutting of sorts i just cant understand why the seller keeps saying it is a seedling and has never been grafted nor is it a cutting. It has either been cut from another plant, grafted as a seedling or had a case of rot at some point which was removed. No biggie really i guess, just a lil frustrating.

sure looks like a rooted out cut to me as well.

Now here's something to cry about.... I sold this to a bud for $75.00 plus shipping...

shown in a 26 cm pot...

There's no way that's seed grown. It's clearly been cut.
