kindness Posted August 4, 2010 (edited) Just checkin in to see how everyone elses normas are coming along? My two are pretty happy now - well they were before winter. they are a really pretty cactus, loving the spination, (specially the colour of them ) The new growth - that would be the pups - seems a bit different to the tip cutting I got. All are beautiful though. I will post some new pic's tomorrow. peace edit: This was a tip cutting. Note spine size is much smaller than that of the newer growth on mid cut pups. (This is a defense mechanism isn't it?) This is the old growth tip these are the three new puppies on the mid cut This is the tip of one of the new pups - note the difference to old growth and the wolf spiders cool home Example of the newer growth spines. gilligan Posted February 5, 2011 (edited) That's hilarious naja. I find it funny that the only person who didn't have any of their cuttings rot, is the only one who didn't take preventative measures. Although you are the only one from WA who got some. Just noticed this post on Norma... I got some too, only one cut of it survived the rot, and now has a pup on it... It's going slowly, but getting plenty of love... time will tell... PS - Nice one Caapi, she's looking lovely! Edited February 5, 2011 by gilligan

Yeh, I thought You and I were the only Sandgropers to chip in for her Gilligan? how are yours going Naja ? But yeh she sure is a lovely cactus, no pups yet, but its only a matter of time. P.S two of my cuts also rotted Edited February 5, 2011 by mr b.caapi
