Torsten Posted October 4, 2008 no more hiding your drugs in your underpants.... http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/10/01/2379394.htm Body scanner trial for Adelaide airport A body scanner will be tested at Adelaide Airport as part of a potential security upgrade. Two other technologies will also be tested - one to scan bottles of liquid for any danger, the other an improved x-ray scanner. The body scanner produces a naked image of a person and participation will be voluntary. Paul Retter, from the Federal Transport Department, says a trial will run from the middle of next month. "We've put in place a range of measures to ensure that privacy issues are dealt with effectively," he said. "This includes talking with the privacy commissioner and making sure that the faces of those people being scanned are blurred - that ... the screening officer looking at the image that is on the screen is removed from the screening point. "The Australian Government, in an attempt to look at what is best suited to Australia and our circumstances, are now trialling a range of advanced technologies designed to better detect explosive devices and other sorts of weapons that might be used to disrupt aviation and, at the same time, improve facilitation through the screening point." Fenris Posted October 6, 2008 Regardless of the "good intentions" , nobody has the right to give you a dose of non-theraputic radiation. My house mate e-mailed Today Tonight with pictures of the images taken from the scans. They are a complete invasion of personal privacy. They might as well strip everyone naked and issue prison uniforms before boarding an aircraft. The use of this technology is totally unacceptable. I have been inquiring about the use of non theraputic radiation doses, Ill keep people updated when I find out more.

Here is a paper bag with some holes cut in it for eyes, put it on and strip naked.
reptyle Posted October 6, 2008 If going to the airport involved changing into a generic travel outfit, kinda like a space suit, being administered muscle relaxants and blood thinners, and then being reissued with your baggage and clothing on the other end, flying g would be far safer, and prolly only a problem for people wearing their perswonality on their sleeve, or should i say payload...sounds like a great idea fenny renny senny. trust your ego to care what it has to do. instead of textas and a colourbook, you can colour in yuour travel suit. and they make great pajamas's when you get home... peace. fractium Posted October 22, 2008 Wow, what a job. I heard those pesky terrorists are recruiting a lot of Kiera Knightly look-alikes. Line em all up for the scan. As for me, ive already got foil underpants on. The article mentions its voluntary, they probably have the catholic policemen waiting to squeeze your nuts anyway. FancyPants Posted February 28, 2011 Blurring out the face is going to mean precisely dick for someone with an obvious outline Frank Zappa was so pissed off at the invasion of privacy he spun right out of his grave and into the background of the above. random Posted February 28, 2011 I don't have a problem with the 'seeing you transparently naked' part of it, its the unnecessary and unwanted radiation that worries me..

random Posted March 1, 2011 we all born naked its not like its something to be ashamed of, and with the amount of ppl that would go thru that thing every day, I doubt they're taking much of an interest in looking at vague body parts, im sure they more interested in looking for weapons/concealed stuff. kindness Posted March 1, 2011 wtf is that cowboy security dude doing to the man in the picture you posted synchro? It looks like he is removing stiches from his cock or something. Before I looked at his facial expression it kinda made me horny ;) airport staff are likely to be more of a worry than passengers any day. I agree with involuntarily being exposed to radiation being the major problem here short term... long term what the hell is going on with this community / nation? What ever happened to trust, love and faith in fellow humans? Perhaps if we viewed death as inevitable instead of ignoring it and doing everything we could to distract ourselves from this fact we might start again to get somewhere?
