MindExpansion Posted September 23, 2008 I don't think its obtusifolia, but someone more knowledgeable may say otherwise. Welcome, Peace
apothecary Posted September 23, 2008 Hard to tell from the photos but I see only two main veins per leaf, so I'd guess not.
AndyAmine. Posted September 23, 2008 IMO its definitely not obtuse, the edges (margins?) of the phyllodes are smooth and the tips and pointed. I have no idea about longifolia.

indigo264nm Posted September 24, 2008 Looks like Longifolia from the pictures... and since you're from Sydney I'd assume it probably is.
Undergrounder Posted September 24, 2008 i don't think its either... the longifolias have just finished flowering so there should be some old flower spikes on it if it was longifolia, and it looks a little like obtus except there's no red colouring

volcanicplug Posted September 25, 2008 Hey all, regarding the flowering... don't know if anyone has noticed but in the close up pics of the stems young long green seed pods can be seen. To me this would suggest that it probably flowered quite recently...
