Torsten Posted September 14, 2008 if you're with yahoo or hotmail then chances are the mail is sent, but hotmail/yahoo have filtered it. do you ever get automatic emails from the forum [such as PM notification etc]? what do you mean you 'must have reset it 5 times'? You need to click the button on each thread that you want to have notification for? how can you 'reset' that???? your question doesn't make sense.

Hubert J Farnsworth Posted September 14, 2008 ok iget the email now... what i meant initially was i set the notification to instant then saved and continued surfing... after reading a few more threads i would open options and look at the settings again. it was reset to no notification... rinse and repeat. it seems to have worked this time tho... thanks guys. Yawning Man Posted September 17, 2008 I also have a question. If we change our password do we get sent a notification e-mail? Just asking because i got paranoid about someone hacking in and changing my password when i was trying to sign in with caps lock on. cheers
Torsten Posted September 17, 2008 if you request change of password then you will be sent an email and this will take you to a screen where you can change your password. so yes, there is an email, but the email does not contain the password [as far as I remember]. if someone tries to change your email address it then has to be approved by me.
