Scrap Packets

Recommended Posts

Seed packets, parts and pieces packets, small herb packets. Free packets.

Take a piece of paper- catalogs, news paper, notebook paper, etc. all work great.

Bend over a corner to make a triangle.

Cut away extra bit, you now have a square folded into a triangle.

Fold one of the 45° corners up and across, do the same with the other.

You now have an open packet to fill between the two open flaps up top.

Fold the top flaps into the fold in the top folded over bit, packet is now closed.

These can be real handy when you need a packet quick that need not be water or air tight, you can write on them too and they are 100% recyclable. I've also seen a rectangular design but this is my favorite.

A friend used to get coke in similar packets that were made of glossy paper or baking paper etc. they worked pretty well.

I think the term for the folded paper drug holder is "Bindle" I believe that there were instructions on how to fold one in some artwork from a "Pulp" album cover. Probably the album that Sorted For Es And Whiz was on - This is Hardcore. Unfortunately I can't find any reference to it anywhere, and I don't have the album to have a look at.

Great tune though B)

Cool. But are people going to be cranky when I send them seeds in those instead of resealable baggies?

I still do all my trades with labled plastic zip bags to be polite and organized.

When I'm going on walks through parks, gardens, or the desert scrub I pack along some scrap packets or paper for stuff I find. If they get a little mucked up from dirty seed no loss, if they get a bit torn up from sharp seed pods no loss, if some cop searches me they will find no long hair hippie with a pocket full of empty plastic zip bags
