Flowering de-grafted Jourdania

Recommended Posts

Here's a flowering Jourdania that was de-grafted 1 year ago.

You can see the new pup coming up.

Also a graft of the exact same clone 1 year old on trico seedling stock.

Is that the right flower color for Jourdania?

Too much sun?

The Orange and pink Stigma says it isn't no average williamsii.

My 'Jourdaniana' has similar petals but the stigma i looked at today was

yellowish and atrophied into a ball.

Plants i grew from seed are similar to your orange stigma form, same deep pink petal colour too, which is odd as i had thought Jourdaniana Sterile.

Another has thinner petals and a solid though tiny yellow stigma, the body shape is different too.

I shall look for my Orange Stigma picture and post it.

Your average Williamsii has a pale pink and white stigma, though flower size can vary quite a bit between otherwise identical plants.

Maybe Orange isn't quite right.

The rightmost is different fromit's partner.

Next i shall find the bought Jourdaniana for comparison.

did somebody say Jourdaniana?

BTW, all of these are on their own roots and have never been grafted.

Wow!

How long does it take for a plant to form a clump like that on it's own roots?
