chilli Posted May 14, 2008 (edited) I have been a bit of an admirer of the multi-instrumentalist folk-baroque singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens for a few years now, and I have listened to this song quite a bit, but I only just found out the meaning of the song, which is about serial killer John Wayne Gacy, about an hour ago. I've heard of him because he's in the same sort of genre as Joanna Newsom who i'm a massive fan of. But i'm wondering if anyone here knows 'that one guy'? I heard one of his songs on spicks and specks and ever since then i've been trying to find some of his stuff. I think the song he played 'bananas' or something with bananas in the title.
