You are dredging up points that have been addressed and dealt with, but I'll rehash this one because it's important. When these shenanigans occured, I was exerting the effort of trying to keep all the members happy (fat lot of good it did). Mostly because this is the way things used to be, but it became apparent that with a large influx of new members that this approach simply wasn't feasible. As I already said in the previous post, that is no longer the case. If you are not a contributing member or at least someone who doesn't have a tendency to get involved in shit-fights, then I really see no reason to extend the courtesy of caring about your problems. I personally just don't think it is in this particular case and as neither you nor in fact apo have all the facts on the background of this story [ie the protagonists] I think it is a waste of time. Some admin or mod decisions are made not along hard lines, but to try and maintain a minimum level of harmony. ie, while there is no need for porn on sab at all, we often couldn't care less about it as it usually reflects on the poster and the giggly schoolboys that respond rather than on the community as a whole. In this case there were already prior issues of intolerance and chauvinism, so a more hardline decision was made to create soem balance. To then go back over this months later and try to argue it without the conditions at the time or the fact of the other dynamics in mind is just silly. So, you are getting your kicks out of arguing a point that you really only know half the story of and at the same time you waste the mods time in some point scoring argument. How futile..... Where were you when the other issues that affected this decision were being discussed? THAT would have been the right time to actually have some input, not as some lame historical revisionist. Time wasters are time wasters. When I wrote my reply I actually wasn't even sure who it was who was arguing with apo [for some reason I thought it was IB at the time ]. I just look at what is being said, what substance it has and what the point of it is. Then I look at Apo wasting his time in a hit by hit reply that is of little consequence to you or anyone else. Reviving this thread, ie the discussion about it, it about as pointless and out of context as reviving an old Mulga thread. The times, people and dynamics have moved on. Yowie, if you want a clean thread then i suggest you start a new one. I don't think it would be right to clean this one up as it clearly shows the effects two very noisy and highly unstable individuals can have on a community. A good lesson for the mods and admin.
