devance Posted February 17, 2007 Interesting as how that squid could do so. Might be light reflection from the infrared to the visible red spectrum. I don't think its a bacterial light emmtting as is usual for deep sea fish, but just a guess. If it was very new. Pulsating a light a one pulsation a second would turn a giant squid to a mating squid. With bad results. I won't be the first to try it as biting is a problem unlike mammalian.
