0 Merkaba Posted October 25, 2006 hehehehe.... hmmm i think they deserve to be planted !! been out quite a while! btw, i licked the inside of the skin.. where its green/er. and its basically not bitter at all... compared to the pedros, peruvians i have... i do think its some kind of peruvian tho hey! hmmmmm
0 mescalito Posted October 25, 2006 Mad plant mate...it was only a few years back we used to be able to ID things but there's so many variables. It shows a pach tendancy but also peru??? Is Dr.Smith in the house?
0 apothecary Posted October 25, 2006 Yeah please plant them out and take some photos of the new growth. I have a hunch that for at least a little while it will revert to immature form and we might see what it looked like when it was younger (hopefully to ID it better). Again, nice plant! 0 Andrew Posted October 25, 2006 Looks a little like a knuthianus I,ve got here.
0 egad Posted October 25, 2006 My guess is a peruvianus of some sort, it's too disimilar to the trichocereus knuthianus that's around town. Best bet as has already been suggested is to plant them out and grow them for a while and see how they go. Some input from some of the more experienced collectors might be helpful. Peace. 0 strangebrew Posted October 27, 2006 I'll put money on it being a KK242/cuzcoensis, the lick test leads to this conclusion as well. Mine started of as a similar looking bumpy cutting.
0 M S Smith Posted October 27, 2006 I'm with strangebrew about it being the KK242/cuzcoensis sort. ~Michael~
