willy wanker Posted April 23, 2006 I'm sort of in a simmilar situation. I was just wondering if there are any edibles as easy to fruit as say p. cubensis? also, can agaricus sp. be fruited from grain cake(cased or not) or can it be grown on sugar cane straw? I've no patience for all the composting crap...
Rev Posted April 23, 2006 im going to make the cold season very simple seeing as how the summer was a bust for many reasons heres whatll ill be making Elm oyster Eryngii grey oyster shiitake poplar mushroom simple and easy including those with the winning combo of easy cultivation and culinary excellence I have yet to get my workspace setup properly for lack of funds - ran out 90% of the way through so ill keep it simple so i can easily fill all request quickly I've no patience for all the composting crap... lol re Enoki clone it from the shop - thats all ill be doing - for the 7th or 8th time! its not that easy as its oft got bacterial contam but antibiotics in the agar can fix that when clean its cottony myc but its matt when theres hidden bacterial contams its a bastard of a culture for picking up contams but exotic enough to persist with if i lived in Tassie or the south eastern highlands id definitely use it as it is the perfect cold weather shroom up here its a curiosity - interesting though is that the shrooms ins aust shops fruit at relatively high temps not suprising as i know many cultivators picked them up from cloned imported product a few years ago - as i did - from Thailand!
