Dry top soil - any ideas how to fix this?

Some small sharp gravel on top [like from a aquarium store not smooth like a pebble perhaps the size of a grain of rice. Will keep enough water in and keep the top layer from becoming too hard [pancaked not let any enough water through]. And any color is available I like a color that shows off a cactus which might be a dark red, [volcanic lava landscaping surface would be great but not the right size for a pot on the surface] and cheap as only on the surface for 1/4 inch at most . Larger cactus like San Pedro 4 feet or more can thrive in a large pot to hold it up with the landscaping volcanic lava. Roots don"t rot, doesn't need much water [ once a month] but does need chemical soluble fertilizers. As no wet soil to rot the roots and it will turn a nice blue green and flower when most chemical soluble fertilized at the proper time of year. Almost and is hydroponics for a cactus but not for inside as a office.

In: Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Gonorrhea, Syphilis [Edit categories] Answers.com > Wiki Answers > Categories > Health > Sexual and Family Health > Sexually Transmitted Diseases > Can a person be a victim of syphilis and gonorrhea at the same time? Answer: Yes, people can have multiple Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD's). In fact a person could have multiple diseases of any kind, not just STD's. One disease does not prevent the other. You can have a cold, the flu, cancer, leprosy, syphilis and herpes, all at the same time (I'd sure hate to be that person, though). With STD's, the likelyhood of someone having more than one at a time is probably higher than for other diseases because the high risk activities that led to the contraction of one STD, also leads to contraction of the other STD's as well. Someone who engages in high risk activities, often does so repeatedly.] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But after many years underground mining you will have have successful career and retire. They were trying to scare us from going back into the water again! First Steven Spielberg got us with "JAWS" followed by the infamous inferior sequels, then we were treated to a double-dosage of "TENTACLES" paired with "ORCA", then there was the hilarious "PIRANHA" and its sequel that featured mutated Piranhas with wings(!!!) and then there was 1981's "BLOOD BEACH" - Hollywood's answer to all those endless 'monster-in-the-water' movies that were swamping our mega-plexes. Someone must have come up with the bright idea, "Instead of putting our monster in the water... how about we put it in the sand!", hence the catchy tag-line to this cinematic gem, "Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water - you can't get to it", which is about the only smart thing connected to this movie. The premise to "BLOOD BEACH" is typical of the 80's horror-film movement. Unthinkable monster + a cute little dog becoming hapless victim of said monster + helpless girls and women either disappearing or being attacked by said monster + one male to solve the mystery and destroy said monster + questionable ending. The funny thing is, I haven't seen this movie on television for many years and it is pretty much obsolete from most video stores. Whenever I happen to see a copy floating around, I get a nostalgic feeling about the times when it was fun to see movies like this.

    Toxoplasma how it fools rats

t is an example of what is called the "manipulation hypothesis," which holds that some parasites alter the behavior of their host organism in a way that benefits the parasite. There are several known examples of the phenomenon in insects. But the details of how the little single-celled protozoan Toxoplasma, about a hundredth of a millimeter long, exerts control over the far more sophisticated rat have been a mystery. Sapolsky's group previously determined that although the parasite infects the entire brain, it shows a preference for a region of the brain called the amygdala, which is associated with various emotional states. Once in the brain, the parasite forms cysts around itself, in which it essentially lies dormant.] I don't believe [parasite forms cysts around itself that or single-celled protozoan] So not a virues or a bacteria but between and get into a nerve cell. hard to kill And hard to experience Maybe they medical guys can get a chemical. multiverse?

http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-08-multiverse.html [The theory that our universe is contained inside a bubble, and that multiple alternative universes exist inside their own bubbles – making up the 'multiverse' – is, for the first time, being tested by physicists.] I agree with this idea but not as a newtonian physics idea like a apple hit his head and then fell on the ground of earth and as newton thought on this and wrote his equation, a university student saw the apple, picked it up and ate it.. When newton came out of his room, his apple was gone[he was going preserve it in brandy] and never seen again except as the young universitys student feces excreted at a local tavern. Different from collisions idea as no collisions can happen there by no energy instrument mesurements for the physcists.. But the math guys will prove it out no problem. Just need a fractual model. 19. [“This is an important discovery, because it points to the presence of a potentially hazardous comet. If the dust trail can hit the Earth, so can the comet: the planetary perturbations do not depend on the mass of the object.” says the team. “Of course, an impact will occur only if the comet orbit is perturbed into Earth’s path right at the time when Earth passes by the comet orbit on February 4. It is in principle possible to guard against such impacts by looking along the comet orbit to those spots where the comet would be in such a dangerous position. In that way, perhaps a few years of warning could be provided.”] So my guess as to comet colliding with earth becomes more possible. http://www.xydo.com/toolbar/26564712-meteor_shower_points_towards_undiscovered_earthbound_comet http://www.spacetimesnews.com/news/2011/aug/10/meteor-shower-points-towards-undiscovered-comet/?print=1 http://www.universetoday.com/88095/meteor-shower-points-towards-undiscovered-earthbound-comet They just saying the same thing and astronomy guys have to get the proof. Mushrooms of Romania

Boletus edulis Only pops from under moss as a symbiote with tree roots. No moss, no trees, no mushrooms. Get alot bigger than, but not my favorite. Just the supermarket ones for taste. The wood eating like oyster mushrooms is just from dead trees. And not that tasty. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://americanmushrooms.com/deathcap.htm Amanita phalloides The World's Most Dangerous Mushroom [introduction NO MUSHROOM is worthier of fear than the terribly poisonous Death Cap (Amanita phalloides). This single, widespread species of mushroom is solely responsible for the majority of fatal and otherwise serious mushroom poisoning cases, worldwide as well as in North America. Indeed, one might argue that the Death Cap's notorious, relatively frequent victimization of Homo sapiens is far and away the best explanation (or rationalization) for the widespread fear of edible wild mushrooms. Ecology and Range of A. phalloides in North America This mushroom is rare in most parts of North America but locally common in such areas as the San Francisco Bay area, where it is typically found from mid-autumn through late winter. Primarily a European species, there is no evidence that the Death Cap is native to North America. Ecologically, it is a beneficial mycorrhizal fungus—like Amanitas in general, it lives on the roots of live trees, providing phosphorus, magnesium, and other nutrients to the tree in exchange for carbohydrates. In California, it occurs under live oak and cork trees (it apparently was brought in with cork tree seedlings, and has since adapted to native oaks). There is a similar situation in the Irondequoit area north of Rochester, New York: the Death Cap was first discovered in Durand-Eastman Park in the 1970s under Norway spruce trees that had been imported as nursery stock decades earlier. It has since been found in increasing numbers and in an ever-enlarging but still local range, under native oaks; it is rather reliably found there from late September through late October. The Death Cap has also been reported under oaks in New Jersey and southern Oregon. North America's "Southeast Asian Problem" There are other mushrooms which are as poisonous—or nearly as poisonous—as A. phalloides, but this one species causes far more poisonings than the others. There is an explanation for this. CONTINUED BELOW... Most victims of life-threatening mushroom poisoning in North America are people from Southeast Asia—Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Viet Nam. They apparently mistake Death Caps for edible "Paddy-Straw" (Volvariella volvacea) mushrooms. The two are similar in several ways—cap color, size, and the white "cup" around the base of the stalk—but different in others (for example, the Paddy-Straw has a pink spore print, the Death Cap a white spore print; and the Death Cap has a partial veil). The Paddy Straw mushroom occurs in tropical and temperate areas worldwide, and is especially common in Southeast Asia; the Death Cap, alas, does not occur in Southeast Asia, so folks from that part of the world are unaware of the lethal "look-alike] --------- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amanita_muscaria [is a poisonous and psychoactive basidiomycete fungus, one of many in the genus Amanita. Native throughout the temperate and boreal regions of the Northern Hemisphere, Amanita muscaria has been unintentionally introduced to many countries in the Southern Hemisphere, generally as a symbiont with pine plantations, and is now a true cosmopolitan species. It associates with various deciduous and coniferous trees. The quintessential toadstool, it is a large white-gilled, white-spotted, usually deep red mushroom, one of the most recognizable and widely encountered in popular culture. Several subspecies, with differing cap colour, have been recognised to date, including the brown regalis (considered a separate species), the yellow-orange flavivolvata, guessowii, and formosa, and the pinkish persicina. Genetic studies published in 2006 and 2008 show several sharply delineated clades which may represent separate species. Although generally considered poisonous, deaths are extremely rare, and it has been consumed as a food in parts of Europe, Asia, and North America after parboiling in water. Amanita muscaria is now primarily famed for its hallucinogenic properties, with its main psychoactive constituent being the compound muscimol. It was used as an intoxicant and entheogen by the peoples of Siberia and has a religious significance in these cultures. There has been much speculation on traditional use of this mushroom as an intoxicant in places other than Siberia; however, such traditions are far less well-documented. The American banker and amateur ethnomycologist R. Gordon Wasson proposed the fly agaric was in fact the Soma talked about in the ancient Rig Veda texts of India; since its introduction in 1968, this theory has gained both followers and detractors in anthropological literature.[1]] --------------------------------------------------------- Tried it and not interestingly as fun. Like couple shots of vodka without the fun.
  25. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oort_cloud [ he Oort cloud (play /ˈɔrt/; alternatively the Öpik–Oort cloud[1] IPA: [ˈøpik]) is a hypothesized spherical cloud of comets which may lie roughly 50,000 AU, or nearly a light-year, from the Sun.[a][2] This places the cloud at nearly a quarter of the distance to Proxima Centauri, the nearest star to the Sun. The Kuiper belt and scattered disc, the other two reservoirs of trans-Neptunian objects, are less than one thousandth of the Oort cloud's distance. The outer limit of the Oort cloud defines the cosmographical boundary of the Solar System and the region of the Sun's gravitational dominance.[3] The Oort cloud is thought to comprise two separate regions: a spherical outer Oort cloud and a disc-shaped inner Oort cloud, or Hills cloud. Objects in the Oort cloud are largely composed of ices, such as water, ammonia, and methane. Astronomers believe that the matter composing the Oort cloud formed closer to the Sun and was scattered far out into space by the gravitational effects of the giant planets early in the Solar System's evolution.[2] Although no confirmed direct observations of the Oort cloud have been made, astronomers believe that it is the source of all long-period and Halley-type comets entering the inner Solar System and many of the centaurs and Jupiter-family comets as well.[4] The outer Oort cloud is only loosely bound to the Solar System, and thus is easily affected by the gravitational pull both of passing stars and of the Milky Way Galaxy itself. These forces occasionally dislodge comets from their orbits within the cloud and send them towards the inner Solar System.[2] Based on their orbits, most of the short-period comets may come from the scattered disc, but some may still have originated from the Oort cloud.[2][4] Although the Kuiper belt and the farther scattered disc have been observed and mapped, only four currently known trans-Neptunian objects—90377 Sedna, 2000 CR105, 2006 SQ372, and 2008 KV42—are considered possible members of the inner Oort cloud.[5][6][
