I am interested - can you figure out postage to 3844?

From who and were did you hear this and from what State? https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/safety-and-road-rules/driver-safety/drugs-and-alcohol/medicinal-cannabis-and-driving The letter of the law is uncompromising. However how the law is implemented depends on nebulous factors like your skin colour, your gender, your wealth, your attractiveness and the mood of the police officer at the the time. In my case I would get the firing squad if caught with any THC in my system.

I would benefit from medical cannabis, it works better then any standard medication, however due to fear of road side testing I do not seek the medical treatment I need. Losing my license for six months would be equal to house arrest where I live.

Datura Oil, Brugmansia and Those Enchanting Nightshades

Recently I have been interested in Brugmansia and Datura, it is mostly an academic interest that came about from a friend wishing to grow them for the aesthetic value of the flowers. However in the process of discovery I became fascinated particularly with peoples fear of these plants. I have a friend who will not even touch this plant or even go near it he says it gives him a headache. Then how broadly the Tropane alkaloid are used in pharmaceutical industry for a broad range of medical uses and are part of World Health Organization's List of Essential Medicines. I was going through a local chemist and found anti-nausea medication containing Hyoscine hydrobromide 300 micrograms. For $7 you could buy 10 tablets. The recommend dose was 1 tablet with a max of 4 tablets in a day, however the toxic dose was listed at 4 tablets. Now was the toxic dose only the dose it became psychoactive or the fatal dose. Leaving me questioning how dangerous these drugs are if they are sold over the counter - why are people not simple buying these over the counter as recreational deliriants. Found one trip report on Erowid https://www.erowid.org/experiences/exp.php?ID=27661 - Which is interesting because he claims to have consumed 20 tablets at 300 micrograms each which I think was rather reckless first time out. Now reliable information on these plants are hard to come by beyond the almost hysterical bad trip reports. What I have figured out so far is people treat it as a psychedelic which it not, and they prepare and utilize the plant incorrectly resulting in overdoses which probably explains the bad trip reports. As Torsten Wiedemann says prepare 50 times or more plant material then you need for a dose then mix extremely well to arrive at a standardized product and then start the titration of doses working your way up to gauge the potency of the batch. Then I cam across this https://link.springer.com/article/10.2165/00002018-200730050-00002 - "unexpectedly wide variation in hyoscine hydrobromide content between individual tablets within single packets" so even pharmaceutical manufactures stuff of the potency of their own preparations. Then their is Duboisia myoporoides which is Australias contribution to the worlds legitimate Tropane industry. Australia is a real raw materials powerhouse for the pharmaceutical industry. Tropanes, Opiods, and hopefully one day cannabis, psilocybin and more. I have been reading about of flying ointments, here I seem to run into a broken tradition of Western witchcraft, with ideas and knowledge garnered from secondary historical texts. Then used to produce a flying ointments that are sold as almost curiosities. Often with the disclaimer that they are not fit for human use and use at your own risk. Then I happen to come across this recipe via YouTube for Datura Oil. It seems that in ayurveda and in India they have a far more positive relationship to Datura using it in a wide variety of conditions. While many of the adjunct herbs are probably hard to get outside India. I think the process is a good working model for experimentation. Here is the recipe: This herbal mixture can be used as massage ointment for joints aches and pains. I am actually keen to try this myself due to some personal age related joint condition. Preparation procedure: * Cut all parts of the Dhatura Plant (Dhatura alba L) including root, trunk, bark, flower and leaves. * wash the plant parts in water * Boil them in ceramic utensils with fresh water * After boiling for 1 hour take out the plant parts and crush them to a pulp with mortar and stone * Then add 10 grams each of the following herbs: caraway, chandrasur, kaali haldi, van champa, saunth (Dried Ginger), kaifal, magrela and malkangani. * then transfer the mixture back into the boiling water in a metal vessel. Add half a litre of sesame oil and bring the mixture to a boil. * When the water has evaporated completely, take the mixture off the heat and wait for it to cool. * Then add 3 grams of adwain satva to the oily mixture. * Then pour it out into a bottle. It is now ready for use. The other one I found was Torsten Wiedemann - Enchanting Nightshades How much if any experience does anyone have with these plants?

This morning in my local paper came across an advert by Terry White Chemist for Endocannabinoid Therapy (Note the selective name use) and directly beneath it was a another advert - just coincidence. You tell me?

Update from the package I got from - @Alchemica I now have so many plants that I have lost count both from cuttings and from seed. I have taken dozens of cuttings from the Mesembryanthemum (Aptenia) cordifolium so much so I recently helped a friend plant out her garden for her new house. Giving her cuttings from all of these and they have been thriving in the ground. I have given other cuttings to another friend. I have got 100s of seeds from Delosperma bosseranum and from Sceletium emarcidum - I have planted them out in seed raising mix in mini green houses. I will see how they germinate But I think that it should not be a problem. Because I had a few cuttings that had seed pods on them, the pods burst open and out came a 100 seedlings. These things are almost weedy. The following have been growing well but slowly the occasional flowers Trichodiadema stellatum Delosperma echinatum Sceletium tortuosum Lampranthus spectabilis The Sceletium tortuosum has been the slowest grower just holding on during summer. I hope that in winter it will pick up in growth. I hope that next year I will have seedlings to share with people on here. I have been sampling green leaves and I have found them to modulate my moods - when ever I am feeling stressed or down I sample a pinch and find it beneficial. Tried fermenting a harvest of Mesembryanthemum (Aptenia) cordifolium but was not happy with the product. Might try to do an extraction. But doing a plant extraction using solvents i not something I am not familiar with.

I just was happened to watching Garden States Microdose Webcast - Episode 23 - Cactus Talk with Patrick Noll (AKA Cactus Jerk) and their is section discussion about flowering and I remembered people were talking about flowers here. Patrick Noll believes that Trichos need cold hibernation to flower and Australia just not get cold enough to induce lots of flowering. Also stress and neglect causes flowering - if the plants feels that might die, from poor soil, cold, or being cut, it will force it to flower in an attempt flowering for reproduction. Also using a plant fertilizers with LOW N and HIGH PK values. Helps flowering.

I never gave more then basic thought to music when it came to Altered States Of Consciousness, however I watched ESPD55 - Alexandre Tannous - Musical creativity and use of sound Mathematical ratios capable of Sound. And it has made me more interested about exploring sound. After sharing this with fyzygy He suggested I share it with you. Seedling Smoke Water Treatment
Ishmael Fleishman replied to Ishmael Fleishman's topic in Australian Native Plants
Update 36 hours ago I used the first dose of smoke water on the some acacia courtii seeds that were planted 7 days ago. In the first 5 days I had one seedling come up, now after three dosing of the smoke water over the last 36 hours, I now have 9 possible 10 seedlings up. That is a 50% germinate rate to date. I will be impressed if I get all 20 seeds to germinate. It could be coincidence, I just do not have experience as this is my first time growing acacia seeds. I have some Acacia Bailey seeds that I am going to smoke today and then soak the seeds in some smoke water for 24 hours and we will see what we get. -

I spent the day making my first smoke water. I had a metal tray into which a steel mesh basket was placed, and I burned down everything from grass to wood to leaves to some old dried chillies I had. Because the basket is small, it was slow going, but I managed to burn down a fair amount of wood into white ash. I have now put the ash into about 30 litres of rainwater. The ash liquid was extremely alkaline; you could smell it and feel that slippery feeling you get from alkaline solutions. I believe that this is the pot ash contributing to this effect. I will leave it to soak for two days and then start using it to water and germinate my acacia seeds. Fingers crossed. I am thinking of rigging up a smoking set up tomorrow - placing a rack high above the fire and smoking the seeds as I make more ash for the smoke water. I have a friend who has a wood fire heater am going to see if I can get her to save the ash for me. I know my method of high temp fire is not ideal however with my current setup this is the best I can do - If I had my old drum smoker I could control the temp better and do a long slow burn. As soon as I sort out my house situation I will have another go at making more smoke water. -

As far as I understand it the material being burned is not important - paper, leaves, native, non native it all produces seem to give the same results. Why bother? It seems like it "improves" germination and seedling survival rate. Found these products: https://stratagreen.com.au/nursery-and-plant-propagation/propagation-grafting-supplies/smoke-water-500ml/ https://greenmanchar.com.au/products/wood-vinegar-puresmokewater http://www.smoult.com.au/products/chemicals-a-z/chemicals-s-z/smokemaster-smoke-water-for-germination-of-native-plants/ Well today I have been burning down a bunch of assorted hardwoods. Making a pile of ash, will soak in water for a few days and see if it helps. I planted a bunch of acacia seeds about a week ago and I am starting to see a few come up. I soaked them in boiled water for 24 hours and planted them in a mix of perlite, pumice, and soil dug up from around a wild acacia and peat moss. Will try my DIY solution will try the Food grade Smoke and will time a try a commercial product. Just having fun. -

I am having my first go at acacia. Yes I have seen the ash method and litraly starting a small fire next to a container filled with seeds method. What do you think of using liquid smoke meant for bbq meat? -
I recently visited a native nursery , where they mentioned they treat their seeds and seedling with smoke water. I then spoke a few horticultural and garden people and they have validated the use of smoke water. Now my first instinct was to see if their was a commercial product but it seems most people make their own. My current living situation does not make making smoke water viable however I could easily imagine making something up with a bbq smoker I used to have, So I have two questions - Have you used smoke water to treat your seedlings and plants and did it make a difference? Secondly I was thinking why bother making up a contraption to capture smoke in water as in the above video, why not just buy liquid smoke the kind used in the food industry that people use on meat to get that smoked BBQ flavour. - The real stuff is made from wood smoke captured by being passed through water. You can get a small bottle for less then $10 that would last forever since it is diluted down to almost homeopathic levels. Since it does not seem that it is a specific type of wood needed to make the smoke but rather the compounds produced in the combustion process that is important. Any thoughts?

I am seeking assorted brugmansia cuttings and I was wondering if anyone would be open to parting with a few cuttings to grow my collection?

I have been wondering about a trend I have observed online and among some people I know. This idea manifests reality through the will to power. In short, to manifest their wants and desires to the universe, and then, through the grace of the universe and the love of God, these things will come to pass, manifesting our dreams into reality. I have seen this new-age message in New York Times articles, on YouTube, and among business consultants and associates. Examples include the lifestyle coach who woke up one morning, felt that she was ready to meet the man of her dreams, and told the universe that this was what she wanted. She then proceeded to walk out her front door, and a few hundred meters down the road from her posh London home, she then manifested the man of her dreams, another good-looking successful A-lister like herself, delivered to her by the universe on cue and on demand. The man, whom she married a few months later, is supposed to live happily ever after. Or the fellow who really wanted a rare Bentley car to add to his collection—a car with yellow trim highlights—pushed this intention out to the universe, and then a week later, he was invited on a road trip, and there at a dealership, just as he imagined, it was the Bentley that he had asked for delivered to him. Another variant of this is the deification of Donald Trump. People have come to worship him because he is wealthy, white, and flaunts the strictures of normative morality; he is everything they wish themselves to be. Their people are promoting the idea that Trump is the second coming of Jesus Christ on earth. Then there is the whole prosperity theology, "a religious belief among some charismatic Christians that financial blessing and physical well-being are always the will of God for them, and that faith, positive speech, and donations to religious causes will increase one's material wealth. Material and especially financial success is seen as a sign of divine favour." This idea goes back far into history and is booming in Africa and Latin America, where traditional churches have lost relevance as people are sold on the notion that God is here to reward them with material wealth in this world today if only they join the correct congregation. I know from my own experience of a family member who became wildly wealthy because he was part of the right congregation, which laid the groundwork for making the right connections and meeting the right people, which afforded him the opportunity to accrue the wealth he now enjoys. However, this family member believes that this wealth is proof of God's love for him and his personal relationship with the divine. Such tales are marketed by those who claim that God and the universe are here to serve your material, sexual, and other needs. And if you just have to have the correct attitude, then the universe will provide. I have several problems with this idea. First, it blames the victim—the woman who was raped because deep down in her soul she wanted to be raped—and the black man suffering from systemic racism is morally inferior; his failure is not in God's favour and therefore poor because God punishes the wicked. The business that failed was not because the system was rigged but because the person behind the venture did not manifest their will to power due to their own ethical, spiritual, and psychological shortcomings. This idea of manifesting one's destiny says that “might is right." That wealth, statues, and health are the signposts of God's grace upon you. By this measure, Ellon Musk is God, or at the very least the one closest to the right hand of God, and his earthly power and wealth are the proof of his eminence as lord over the vermin of this world. What I find interesting about this idea is that it pushes an extremely materialistic notion. Nowhere do I find the ideas of service, sacrifice, ecology, or community bedrocks for my notion of spirituality. It is flat out about “I” and what “I” can get out of the world and how the universe simply exists to service “my” needs, wants, and desires. I was raised within a faith, a faith whose lessons I have taken to heart, a faith in which God is not my personal Bitch at my beck and call. I do not subscribe to an interventionist God, who takes a personal interest in the minutia of my life. Experience, has shown me that there is a spiritual thread that connects all things across the universe. We are all divine, just as the maggots who devour rotting flesh are divine. I have experienced coincidences that could be claimed to be the result of my will to manifest things. However, in hindsight I cannot prove causation. I do accept that melancholy does make the world a darker place; however, simply being positive is not going to make you into the next tech billionaire. There is a human trait to only record the positive—the myth of success. We only observe the relationships that last: the old buildings still standing, the business still turning profits, and the celebrity with the latest movie or song. We convince or delude ourselves that the world is just one continued tale of never-ending victories. The balloon always rises, and our own incapacity to rise is only in accordance with our own personal failings. There was a recent article in the NYTimes suggesting that the world should be explicitly planned, run, and controlled by billionaires because their wealth is evidence of their intelligence to make the correct decision and that the government should simply step aside into oblivion. An associated phenomenon I have observed is the claim to authoritative knowledge based upon one's association with those deemed to be successful. This morning, an associate said to me, “I was listening to this really brilliant podcast by this woman who spent a week on an island with billionaires." This woman’s ideas are valid not because they are sound or researched but rather because she was blessed to be in the presence of billionaires. It is a variation on the claim of authority via association. In the same way that people claim that the Bible is true in totality because it is the word of God,. The stench of capitalism co-opting spirituality—for the spirit has become ensalved to the flesh—makes me think of Martin Luther and his own objections to the church 500 years ago. Now maybe I am wrong; maybe evil things happened to bad people because that is what they deserve. Maybe God loves Americans more than he loves Afghans. Maybe our personal failures are just our failures to be in God's favour. It could simply be that my lack of greed is proof of my immorality.

Harmala does have this strange affect. It is not a buzz, or stimulant effect it is not jittery like caffeine. It is not monkey brain chatter or anxiety that stops you from sleeping. It is like your body forgets how to sleep. You know you should be sleeping. This I think this contributes positively to the all night ayahuasca experience, however if you plan to sleep it is not recommended to take it after midday. The Harmala expedience is also a very much an active dream state that you experience while awake. Recommend watching ESPD55 - There is a growth of interest in Persian use of Syrian Rue - https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=+Shauheen+Etminan If you do not listen to the medicine it will haunt and torment you.
