    Is comet ISON a Spaceship?

And now some nice music to put the "feelings" back where I was trying to put them in the first place... And considering I seem to have unintentionally stolen this thread, some "Space hog - In the meantime" seems appropriate.. Remember people, we only have so much energy at the end of the day. Invest that energy into "lifting the bar" rather than into fear. Regardless of whether that fear is real or imagined. (what was it our gov. said? Be alarmed not aware! No wait..! Lets try being aware and emotionally armed!)

Under-standing something is a matter of how deep you dig. All my sails are made of the finest aramid fibre. ;-) I use to write articles for the seed saver group I run, but I had to dumb that stuff down. I didnt bother writing one for the last newsletter seeing as if people dont get whats going on by now then they better learn how to pray (and sing and dance with mindless detachment to their surrounds). Edit: Mindfull of their surrounds but emotionally detached. Emotional-intelligence is a powerful thing.

    Kangaroo paw flowers

As I understand it, Kangaroo paws come (originally) largely from that W.A. The soil there, so I was told is deeply drained, and I would assume low in nutrients. Im not sure about watering frequency, but as long as they dont have wet feet/roots for too long then they should be fine. There is a "ink spot" disease that sets in if they get too water logged in the root zone

    Is comet ISON a Spaceship?

What if the whole Jesus/aliens/superman returning to save the world is the alpha and the omega of hoaxses designed to disable us from the very actions which would have prevented our enslavement/demise? ie "you wait till Jesus gets here! Hes going to be very cross with you!" (Inaction coupled with a densification) vs. lifting your conscious energy into the Christ consciousness energy of unconditional love and forgiveness "If you cant bring Jesus to the 4th dimenion then its time to lift the earth to the 5th!" Thats exactly correct what God is telling you woodwoman. Remove any worry about the "reality" we are told. We are here to create a new one!

Do we really need more erotic art threads?

Since pointed to this forum by an old friend, I have found some serenity that there are other individuals that to save too much explaination, "get it" and are trying to fix it with the strength of our combined knowledge of plants etc. Unlike the mass of mindless sexbots breeding for the sake of breeding due to the emptiness they feel due to their breeding programing! The trouble with raising conciousness in individuals, and society, of what is really going on is that focus wanes with distractions. "Conciousness" flickers on and off in most individuals giving the impression that they are "aware". Maintaining that conciousness continuesly depends on many things, and these "things" that distract erode focus on consiousness expansion IMO. Besides, this would be the thin end of the wedge and/or another thing to monitor. Although I am a male, I have had deep emotional damage from the age of 8 with regards to sex which was the catalyst for me seeking the truth. The "Sexbot" programming is full of lies IMO and threads of naked bodies would bring too many bad memories and feelings back for me, Please remove such threads. A coral reef might be beautiful, but do you really want to sail the good ship SAB over them?

Help With Psychotria Viridis leaf cuttings?

Yeah, I would have to agree that 25 deg C is on the nippy side for me. I refuse to emerge from my lair unless the day promises 30 C or better! However, I base this 25 C figure due to knowlege that many of the commercial propagators (in Sub-tropical Brisbane at least) that have heated benches use this temp. I agree though that higher temps would increase activity, especially if the cuttings are in a good enclosure with a high humidity. Its the moisture loss thats the biggest problem at higher temps. If you can control that you can push it up a bit. I never had too much purchasing on concepts such as 'control' so fluctuate onward! I know I do!

Help With Psychotria Viridis leaf cuttings?

25'C (bottom heat) is the optimal temp for root development. Keeping the leaf cutting dome on the hot water system may improve root growth.

    Roadside Drug Swabs

There is a asparagus based 'tonic' drink which clinical studies have shown to half the amount of blood alcohol in the system every hour. As far as the swabs go, it seems a lack of saliva by any means, the mouth do protest a positive result on a another enslavement regiem!
  14. How much land is needed to sustain a family? There was an official figure that I saw in document passed to me by my sister who is studing for a government/enviromental position. Anyway, it said from memory, 2.08 acres for all energy needs. Apparently the average Chinese is living within that (although this was a document from @ 6 years ago so this may a wee bit different now) and the average Indian is living well within that figure. No prizes for who it said the biggest land 'users' for energy use are! As Santiago mentioned: Right on the money (waste!) Santiago! Among the biggest destroyers of fertile land in Australia are; lawn and Murraya hedges! There is so much more the Earth can give if you communicate with it, in the form of cultivating the soil and introducing special plants. I thought you were talking about Women till I read the next line! My 'approach' if you could call it that, rather than invest in the idea that I can create a fixed safe place on Mother Earth, try to create little food havens where ever I can.. With shifting of the hydrological cycle at an accellerated rate than predicted by climate scientists as illustrated in 'Extreme weather' story on Catalyst.. http://www.abc.net.au/catalyst/stories/3796205.htm This 'shift' will change where food crops succeed. Which may be erratic. With no hope of grasping capital in a mental let alone physical sense I've invested in my mind by learning about edible weeds and building a net work knowledge of food plants and people. Should I ever have to wander, I will all ways feel at home, when I see my special plant friends.

    White spots on cacti.

Looks like pest attack on the new growth. They are often vectors for secondary infections. High humidity can encourage them.

Can anyone advise me on the edibility of Slippery Jacks Suillus luteus? Ive noticed a few around in Brisbane lately. They seem to have some symbiosis with Lilypilies. I found two large ones found near an Acmena hemilampra and found another today near a Syzygium leumanii
  17. Thats ok! I saw films of infested areas which had previously been cleared for farming. There was no way those prickly little bastards could be an effective producer of food for the simply reason you would only be able to get on the edge of a thicket of these...and they were BIG thickets! "Acknowledged as one of the greatest biological invasions of modern times, the introduction and subsequent spread of prickly pear into Queensland and New South Wales had infested millions of hectares of rural land by the 1920s, rendering it useless for agriculture. Prickly pear proved so difficult and costly to control by chemical and mechanical means that enormous areas were simply abandoned by their owners." http://www.daff.qld.gov.au/documents/Biosecurity_EnvironmentalPests/IPA-Prickly-Pear-Story-PP62.pdf Maybe a little in your outer permaculture 'zones' but by and large probably not considering this is a declared weed! "Prickly pears (Opuntia spp.) are either declared Class 1 or Class 2 pest plants under Queensland legislation. Class 1 pests established in Queensland are subject to eradication from the state. Landowners must take reasonable steps to keep land free of Class 1 pests. It is a serious offence to introduce, keep or supply a Class 1 pest without a permit issued by Biosecurity Queensland and penalties apply. O. ficus-indica is not declared. O. stricta, O. aurantiaca, O. monacantha, O. tomentosa and O. streptacantha species are Class 2 declared pest plants. Biosecurity Queensland encourages people to report Class 1 pest plants and take actions to help stop the establishment, prevent the spread of and control all declared pests in Queensland." http://www.daff.qld.gov.au/4790_7343.htm To the best of my knowledge the introduction of the Cactoblastis spp for control of a pest species was the first use of a "biological control agent". Edit: ...first successfull use
  18. Blackberries are hella nutritous too and once established will make alot of runners for new plants... Whilst part of me agree's with the permaculture aspects of this plant, I am also aware of its ranking as a weed of national significance. http://www.weeds.org.au/WoNS/blackberry/ There is a native Rubis spp. "The native raspberry" Slightly less invasive than blackberry. These perform equally well in Queensland at the very least but I would anticipate it would perform well where ever blackberry grows.

    help-a-friend

Feelings of shame/guilt are parasitic thought forms that can be difficult to dislodge. They are linked to feelings of fear of losing love/fear love is lost. They also dis-empower a person from feeling self-love. This is a core issue. Ignighting the fire of his passions will bring reconection with self love. This guy has the idea: http://www.youtube.com/user/JoshuaVoiles?v=P0lVPB6BTxI
  21. Wow - Mikey you're gun It probably would have been better for me to give the imaginitive description of a "secateur slinging, bee jocky" after you said that... But, I've often had trouble with pre-emagination. Ok so pH testers, here's what I use: http://www.ebay.com....=item35b273e064 Features I like about it are; Temperature display: This can have an effect on the pH reading, variation are printed on buffer/calibration fluid bottles Removable/replaceable probes: These are quite sesistive and can be easily broken mishadling or deteriate over time giving increasingly false readings. EC / TDS Probe: The "Electrical Conductivity" is a measure of the "Total Disolved Salts" which translates as this; The more nutrient "salts" in the test solution, the higher the "Electrical Conductivity", the higher the level of nutrient salts. These could be anything, it dosnt determine what they are. If "salt" levels are too high in the soil, then the effect of osmosis (water with a low concentration of salts will pass through a membrane towards water with a high concentration of salts) that normally takes in water and nutrients to aid the plants growth, is now reversed. This results in the plant dying of thirst/starvation even though water and nutrients are plentifull. Most people in this forum I assume would use more organic methods (ie incorparting organic matter into and on the soil which amongst its many other benifits provides a buffer against most problems), in which case EC/TDS is normally not a concern. Besides Salts is a whole new topic...! 1:5 (weight/volume) method This is the main method used in Australia for measuring pH or salinity. 1. Weigh 20 g of air-dry soil into a clean srew top glass or plastic jar with a capacity of 150ml. 2. Add 100ml of distilled or deionised water. 3. Shake continuously for 1 hour; or shake thoroughly every 5 minutes for 1 hour, or, shake thoroughly after adding water , leave stand overnight, and shake thoroughly the next morning! (I can picture someone going, "Yeah! Shake it for an hour that will do it! Then after shaking many samples the test got revised down a bit!) 4. Measure the pH by dipping the electrode into the suspenion immediatly after it has been shaken. Growing media for ornamental plants and turf. by Handrek & Black Pg 411 Edit: Remember to sift/remove gravel and undecomposed organic matter as this may comprimise the result.
