if all they need is a wallet they should stop whinging about how needy they are.. so i don't think you would be good or bad, just nuts or possibly stupid... unless you turned it into some kind of profound surrealist documentary social comentary /film/ performance piece.. that might be true, but this clone grows very fast when well fed i'd expect that much growth in six years but if it was not well fed or watered then maybe you are right SS does not feed a whole lot... look at this shot: here is a larger version and here is the same clone but grown with less shelter, outdoors: some more:

This is my plant It flowers every year (3 years) and has never produced any fruit. All of the cereus in other gardens around near me all seem to have much the same flowers (color and shape). The shape of the ribs definatly says cereus to me Cheers Got

And thus no doubt in some individuals engendering the equating of sexual stimuli with the suffering and pain of animals. Genius - let's train ourselves up some socio/psychopaths because there aren't enough naturally-produced ones around these days... It sounds like some at PETA are more concerned with their own notoriey than the walfare of animals. Hopefully this is just a bad joke.

For any-one interested....Sunday (tonight!!!) 18th September @ 8:30 pm... Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo child. Voodoo Child is a revealing and highly entertaining 72-minute autobiography of the legendary acid-rock guitarist told in his own words (narrated by Funkadelic bassist Bootsy Collins) incorporating a plethora of previously unseen photographs and film footage from the Hendrix family archive to tell the story of a remarkable life. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/abc2/201109/programs/ZX6049A001D2011-09-18T203304.htm?program=Jimi%20Hendrix%20-%20Voodoo%20Child Straight after that.. 9:45pm. same channel...Jimmi Hendrix- Live at Woodstock. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/abc2/201109/programs/ZX6050A001D2011-09-18T214700.htm?program=Jimi%20Hendrix%3A%20Live%20At%20Woodstock

Yeah, i have to agree food is a big priority, as is being far enough away from civilisation to avoid the looters

One thing a lot of people don't realise is that supermarkets and similar shops don't have storerooms anymore. They simply have loading bays. Everything is stored centrally at their distribution centres or preferably at their supplier's warehouses near the central distribution centre. I think woolies has them in brisbane and albury for example. We rely on transport [roads, fuel, and drivers] to get everything from far away. If one of those cogs fails then we have nothing. Imagine an epidemic that takes 50% of truckies off the road? Imagine another oil crisis that takes trucks off the road? Our food distribution system is very vulnerable and will let us down eventually, so food is at the top of my list of things to be independent for if the need arises - both short term and long term. I can cope without power and without fuel quite well, but food is kinda essential.
