Fantastic competition communacacian! :worship:

I will edit this post tonight to add pics of my little family of seed grown acacias as I forgot to take some pics this morning. :BANGHEAD2:

[edit] - my addition to this thread is pathetic. I've only just started trying to grow a couple of varieties in the last few months.

left to right - A acuminata small seed - A acuminata narrow phyllode (going much better than the small seed sown at the same time) - a tiny A denticulosa which has grown very little over the last 3 months or so.

post-13830-0-77953700-1441243694_thumb.j

I'll be putting the narrow phyllode acuminata in the ground soon. And hopefully trying my hand at some other acacias this spring with the view to end up with a nice little forest.

My first phlebophylla to sprout, around 6 MNTHS. I tried 4 and two have germinated. The other will as well I think as they look good still.

Communacacian, should I add a layer of course sand? Also used floribunda soil for innoculant.. Should i add some phleb soil, Now that i have it.?

Thanks everyone who contributed, everyone's a winner here beautiful plants!

DB those guys are at a pretty sensitive stage i wouldn't be introducing anything to them until they are more developed. If they start springing out of the soil you could build the soil up a bit with the same stuff you used or prop or granitic sand can do the trick.

Once they are more established with a good set of bipinnates you can add some phleb soil or dissolve some in water and water the seedling with it!

terrible pics.... far left confusa then two big obtusies (could be wrong, seed wasn't labelled), 3 small madenii at the front and floribuna far right. all but confusa germinated by me.
