Market find #2.5

Question

Found this little guy tagging along with the brug. I picked up. I dug it out as carefully as possible but it appears to only have the single root attached. The spines are very soft to the touch barely more than protrusions of flesh.

Yah Stapelia for sure.

Stapelia lepida i think. They stink weird and mimic rotten flesh to atracked blowies to fertalize

Cool plants

Or Huernia my wife collects a heap of all of them Hoodia, Huernia and Stapellia or Stapaloids in general. When they flower they are amazing.

A stapeloid. It's a succulent. I think they are now Orbea? Can't remember. Very interesting, albeit stinky flowers. Enjoy

I'd have my money on a stink flower too

It's narrower than my S. zebrinas so maybe Shroomup is on the money.

The flower will be the key to the ID

I'll post again when there's a flower then. Until then, we'll let it be as it doesn't appear to stink :P
