willbe Posted October 28, 2005 A couple of questions. Has anyone heard of this native Bacopa? Does any one know if its active in the same or similar way as B.monniera? Im guessing theres no research done on this species... I tasted some of the leaves of the mollinierii and it is MUCH more bitter than monniera. Which leads me to my last question; Does anyone know if there are poisonous species of bacopa? Any thoughts?

caludia Posted November 2, 2005 Bacopa mollinierii doesn't exist. and B. monniera is the Brahmi "memory herb" you see at many nurseries. http://healthyherbs.about.com/od/monographs/p/bacopa.htm maybe like Abrus precatorius, might occur in areas of tropical Australia as well as SE Asia, India etc.. dreadlocked Posted November 7, 2005 i looked all over and the only thing i could find with spelling even close to that was a marine vegetation site. it had the same mollinierii but it was not a bacopa..
