hey, I'm sure everyone knows that "British soldiers given lsd" video (probably). Does anyone know any other videos of people on acid (or mescalin, psylocybin etc.) on the net? I can find documentries with snippets of people on psychedelics describing the effects, but I want more! Thanks everyone

Because it's been five years since I've had a psychedelic (not by choice), and even though I 've had them scores of times, I have a trouble really remembering exaxtly what it's like, and of course it's impossible to really remember anyway 'cos you can't concieve it when you're not on it. But seeing other people off their heads is the closest I can get to reminding me what it's like. It comforts me somehow .

And thanks for that link C12. I never tried salvia but it sounds interesting. After seeing those videos it definately looks interesting and I'd like to try it, but it's illegal here now isn't it? Not all that popular, so it's probably hard to find on the street. Also, yeah I've tried Limewire, but there were only a couple of things on there. Also a video search on altavista.com without much luck.

Yeah I've got that, it's not a bad doco.

BTW I don't think I really am looking at the experience from 'outside'. When I see people on psychedelics, I identify with them and feel a connection. It can make me laugh, it can make me excited, and it brings back good memories. I don't think that can possibly go against the 'purpose' of psychedelics.

I personally would doubt the motives and be very concerned about the true identity of anyone wanting to record others in this state

Theres something of a bubble you can exist in of safety and anonymity in that state when u are with those u trust. Its a very special thing

I'm not sure what the problem is, I bet I'm not the only one on this forum who routinely reads trip reports on erowid, these and other forums. I reckon I've gained far more insight into certain drugs reading trip reports than reading some out of date FAQ of static content like that.

Does adding a bit of multimedia to that suddenly make it wrong? As long as the person (who in the other case would be writing the report) does not object to being filmed, what's the deal? Didn't the lot of you download CS's tripping videos like everyone else here?

The poor guy didn't come on the forums and ask to film anyone tripping. He said he wanted primary source footage instead of the snippets (which have been subjectively edited - one way or the other) provided in documentaries. I wouldn't mind seeing some of that unedited footage myself!

For the clueless amongst us there are many and valid possible reasons why someone has not taken drugs for any period of time whilst still feeling a worthwhile connection to the drug taking community. How they keep that link alive is their concern as long as no-one is harmed in the process.

Me, I hate tripping vids as much as the next person and they bore me silly. So do lots of other things I'm not going to rant about. But as apoth says- if recording and broadcast are consensual for all parties, then it becomes a much more complex issue to demand censorship.

The problem is with visual or auditory media that once taken pretty much all control over it by the subject is lost.

It can go anywhere and be seen by anyone. it can be held in archive and resurrected in ways harmful to your privacy.

I would sooner break somebodies camera than i would tolerate that kind of intrusion

We are just not in a strong enough situation to cope with any focused media scrutiny. yo do so would certainly mean the loss of our easy going open and research oriented subculture

So i would urge anyone to be very assertive in preventing other from filming you in altered states unless you are entirely certain you are comfortable with any possible ways that could be used at any time and for any purpose all of which you will probably have no veto over

Wow, Those Salvia videos are pretty convincing.

The best description of Salvia I ever got was from a guy I met a few months ago, he said that he smoked it and it took a few minutes to kick in, but once it did he said "It was like I was suddenly catapulted into another dimension of the same place, where I existed as cosmic energy, and I could see auras of everything, and the energy flowing around the room, and the people around me."

He said he tried it back when it was legal and was surprised at how strong it was.

Ballzac, I totally agree with what you are trying to do here. You feel some compulsion to re-live that era of your life, without going through the experience again. I do it too, a few vids online, spend a few hours reading erowid, place an order at herbalistics or here for a few things that perk your interest, and that yearning will go away.

I've seen some people tripping on sally and shrooms on youtube recently.One in particular which I thought was strange yet funny was a of 2 guys on shrooms firing the caps into their buddy's mouth with a sling shot
