Plantsoma Posted April 5, 2004 Can anyone help ID these babies? I'm pretty sure the first pic is T.bridgesii var monstrose, but the long spines have confused a few people i have shown it to. Interesting the way it is pupping. (if thats the correct terminology) PIC 1: PIC 2: TOP VIEW OF ABOVE CACTUS: Thanks. [ 05. Shroom-Aura Posted April 5, 2004 Yep first one looks bridgesii monstrose. And the hairy one is probably some kind of cereus.

Ashoka Posted April 7, 2004 The second one could very well be a Pilosocereus.. Look here: http://www.columnar-cacti.org/pilosocereus/page5.html [ 07. April 2004, 01:47: Message edited by: Ashoka ]

strangebrew Posted April 12, 2004 Yeah, that first one is 'penis plant' for sure. Second is a Pilosocereus 'Woolly Torch', take your pick of proper names, there's a ton of them. [ 11. April 2004, 22:55: Message edited by: strangebrew ]
