GoOnThen Posted December 22, 2013 I was given a Kalanchoe beharensis leaf a couple of weeks ago to propagate but I am finding conflicting information on the best way to propagate to achieve the most plants. The leaf is about 30 to 40 cm long but I cant find any definite info on cutting it up ( not for the beharensis ) Any one played with this plant? Any info from someone who has had luck with it would be cool. Kalanchoe beharensis I love this plant. The leaf size and texture is very cool. zelly Posted December 22, 2013 I got a kalanchoe thats very similar looking & propagate it by leaf cuts. I'm in no hurry for more though, as that just means more work to do caring for them.
GoOnThen Posted December 23, 2013 Do you use the whole leaf or cut it into pieces? Cheers Got
prier Posted April 13, 2014 You can cut the leaf up into many pieces if you want to propagate more. The stem part of the leaf always seems to do best imo.
djmattz0r Posted April 13, 2014 I have seen leaves shoot out growth in response to damaged parts before, so you could take a piece and tear it in half to encourage some growth.
