shonman Posted November 16, 2013 The Datura plant...May be symbolic of how relationships go sometimes. It starts grows into a beautiful, pure lovely flower.... but, after the combining of the opposites for reproduction... Given some time...it goes to seed..... And ends up as a threatening, spiky ball of thorns! Hopefully not symbolic of all male/ female relationships......but some, for sure!

gwalchgwyn Posted November 20, 2013 I see it as literal to all life: the alkaloids protect the individual from predation; the flowers are genitals in heat (fuck me!); the seeds are potential offspring who are guarded as they set out into the world; seems to me a very loving relationship... shonman Posted November 21, 2013 It all depends which side of the spiky ball you are on!

shonman Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Well, regardless of my / our opinions.... these plants certainly have developed a good survival and reproductive strategy, and the flower is very beautifull... Edited November 22, 2013 by shonman
shonman Posted November 22, 2013 (edited) Hmmm....flower 'in heat'......maybe like this, in human form? Edited November 22, 2013 by shonman
