0 shortly Posted May 18, 2013 The top one looks an awful lot like an Eulychnia sp
0 mutant Posted May 18, 2013 ^^^ I nice guess I am also suggesting some Oreocereus with less wool than say O.celcianus . Just saying, I got a couple that are not so hairy as others that are totally dense. But Eulychnia might be spot on. Never owned one.
0 Stillman Posted May 19, 2013 maybe Eulychnia breviflora?

0 Bert&Ernie Posted May 19, 2013 Second one looks like a plain old bridgesii to me thats had a rough life
0 Stillman Posted May 19, 2013 possibly does will be interesting to see how it grows out.
0 mutant Posted May 19, 2013 hmmm maybe a ferocactus. very awfully hardgrown, if its a fero. seems like its never got to the point of being relly 'pubescent'
0 M S Smith Posted May 22, 2013 I'm gonna go with Oreocereus and Echinocereus, maybe E. coccineus. ~Michael~
0 mutant Posted May 22, 2013 (edited) hey michael you 're saying echinocecerus coccineus for the 2nd? I doubt it. I say that because I have it, and it's thinny and clumping cactus , from what I understand, a neglectected one would be much thinner than these ones than look like thiny spineless weak ferocacti produced in a sun-less enviroment. check out 2 different clones and help with ID sorry for hijack stillamn, but I believe its kind of relative in your first ID. WHICH cannot be really absolute anywayz one are less hairy one is much hairy the hair is really different betweeen what I have considered different strain of Oreocereus celcianus wahtta say Oreocereus celcianus? http://postimg.org/image/uupwq0l8t/full/] http://postimg.org/image/khz0q72bx/full/] http://postimg.org/image/f7u1ywi31/full/] http://postimg.org/image/k961e0ex9/full/] Edited May 22, 2013 by mutant
0 M S Smith Posted May 23, 2013 hey michael you 're saying echinocecerus coccineus for the 2nd? I doubt it. Hence my "maybe." Stillman, throw that bad boy into a new pot with some fresh soil and in no time we should be able to give you a better idea what it is. ~Michael~
