The only area in the Golden Triangle, where now poppy is grown, is still the Shan State in Myanmar. Not a good corner to make there holiday. Thailand is finish.
The only area that is almost certain for traveling, and is grown in the Papaver somniferum is Nagaland, Assam (India). Alone should not move there. You must have a guide.
