how to grow davidson plum from seed?

hey there , just harested my plum tree made a jam with the flesh which tastes bad lol now i have all these seeds! do i plant them fresh or soak them ?? also they have a furry coating do i remove this b4 planting??????? :wacko:

I've grown them from seed before and they are easy and similar to most rainforest species.

The main things to remember are: don't let them dry out, the fresher the seed the better (they lose viability fast), soak them overnight before sowing, sow into a community pot, keep the pot moist, sheltered and not too cold, The bigger the seed the deeper you plant it (around twice it's diameter) and look after the little guys once they sprout.

I never removed the furry stuff and they sprouted fine.

The best Davidson's plums I've seen were HUGE and were growing in full sun but they must have had a good supply of water. The worst ones were growing in deep shade but I recon they need to be a couple years old before putting them out in the full sun.

Davidsonias are actually quite fun to sprout.
