What is this? Solanaceae?

Question

This has come up in the back yard not sure what it is, at first I thought some sort of Datura but it has spikes on the stem?

Any ideas before I rip it out?

Solana for sure. Reminds me of the South American types, like Naranjilla (S. quitonense), sans purple veining. We need a Plowman chaneller!

Irie,

Solanum torvum. or I guess your Aussie equivalent.

Solanum capsicoides? More sprawling than upright, has largish red fruit not very fleshy, say the size of a small (not cherry) tomato about 3cm diameter

Solanum chrysotrichum Giant Devil's Fig = Bad. Bird dispersed. Rapidly spreading around Wollumbin and parts of the Focal Peak Volcano... Just appearing on Mid North Coast urban areas. Yuck...
