Sallubrious Posted October 24, 2012 A little bit further than a bee can fly. I wouldn't worry too much about it, you can always hand pollinate if you're after seeds and just keep the seeds from flowers you've pollinated. They could flower at different times anyway and you won't have the problem of cross pollination. My biggest concern would be them all growing into one combined clump, so I'd just keep them in their own pots so the roots don't intermingle in the tub or pond or whatever you have them in. tarenna Posted October 24, 2012 Most (if not all) grasses are wind pollinated. http://biology.clc.uc.edu/courses/bio106/pollinat.htm
illogicalBrew Posted October 25, 2012 (edited) Thanks for your replies. I have same 'SIROSA' low alkaloid strain I'm going to plant on my creek bank running through my back yard . I have some 'AUSTRALIA' seedlings in 50mm pots I'm not sure where to put yet. I'm thinking the other side of the yard for them (but not in a creek bed) although is dangerously close to where the council mows.
