PositiveHAL Posted September 22, 2012 DUTCH AUCTION - NO RESERVE Greetings, so up for sale is a large potted spinless scopulicola, arms measuring 50cm, 70cm and 15cm i had a monster Lophophora grafted to the base for over 10 years until recently. To be picked up from Melbournes northern suburbs, NO POSTAGE sorry. DUTCH AUCTION... so how do these work? I set a high price, then gradually lower it by increments of my choosing (sometimes $1 sometimes $5) until someone purchases. There is no bidding required by you, and there is no bottom price/reserve. Geddit? DO NOT POST A BID or ANY PRICE DISCUSSION! Ready, set, GO!

Nemisty Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Now we do these auctions at work for old stock we want gone. Except we choose a certain value ( that we dont tell the customers ) that if it drops to then we INCREASE the price back up again. That usually makes the ones interested jump.
