Evil Genius Posted September 19, 2012 As with any variegation I'm told... Virus Theres two types of variegations. One thats caused by a few diffrent viruses and another one that is caused by genetic defects. We know the same principle from people who were born as albinos because of genetic diseases that were passed down to them from their parents.
Moses Posted September 20, 2012 As with any variegation I'm told... Virus so you would think it could be transmited through a graft but i have yet to hear of someone saying they have "turned" something variegate by grafting. Are there any examples of it being done?? Evil Genius Posted September 20, 2012 Seedgrown variegates are not infective. I did countless grafts with variegates and none of them infected the host. This is just a mixup with variegates that carry the tobacco mosaic virus.
