never picking wild mushrooms.

even if i had picked the right ones, the anxiety about it would probably give me a heart attack first.

dont think you should be giving specific locations, doesnt seem right. public forum after all, who knows whos going to do what with that information.... if people want to look for shrooms they should go through the hard yards and hunt for themselves. that way the'll have more respect for natures gift and their power. i can see those patches being raped and dug up beyond repair

Yeah I think it's better to post just the pictures showing habitat, mulch type and micro climate. They are all over Canberra really as long as you can find the right types of locations at the right time. One could very easily find what they are looking for with muds description without actual places names i.e. 'near playing fields that have pines or casuarinas, in mulched garden beds that are reasonable moist'.

I dont think they're 'all over' Canberra.

My sympathy, that I personally scoured the parks and reserves for many years

before a random friend finally introduced me to the garden places

And even those who are told to go to gardens,

often walk right past the spots..

I'd hate those patches to come and go without any visual record..

Further,

you can see that lawns go alright too. Often better, because woodchips can dry out so readily.

Dont think anyones gonna dig up the playing fields..
