tipz Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) This is a trich i had started on peres, then degrafted onto pach. As it came from a trich. mixed seed batch I am unsure as to its I.D Anyone got any ideas ? ( i was thinking possibly uyupampensis ?? ) Edited January 22, 2012 by tipz
0 ballzac Posted January 22, 2012 I'm not really familiar with uyupampensis. Are there defining traits that would differentiate it from cuzcoensis at that size? It certainly looks to be in that spectrum, though I wouldn't even attempt to pinpoint the exact species until it's a little bigger.
0 tipz Posted January 22, 2012 perhaps it is a a bit too young to ID yet. I think the uyupampensis is very much the same as cuzco from my readings. That was just an attempted guess from a friend who is a self-acclaimed trich expert Ive heard that being grafted can often alter the appearance of the scion too ? Either way its not a bad little trich... the rootstock could definately do with a repot. Thanks Ballzac
0 PhoenixSon Posted January 22, 2012 looks similiar to a cuzco to me, but cactus tend to change a bit as they mature so...
0 Stillman Posted January 22, 2012 Not sure on ID but my god your grafting tech is spot on, so neat man, and the root stock is certainly a nice big healthy beast. That thing is going to Pump, especially when it gets in a bit more dirt.
