myco Posted January 20, 2012 hey all just watched episode 4 of the new series of drugs inc. from national geographic just wanted to give people a heads up if they havent heard about it yet it was a pretty interesting episode very unbiased and was basically showing the good in hallucinogens and people using different things lsd, mucsrooms, dmt all for medicinal purposes anyway was fairly interesting i recomend it for people who like to watch these kinds of docos for people in oz with foxtel the series starts on nat geo on i think the 2 feb otherwise its playing in the u.s. now and you can find a torrent pretty easy just thought i'd let people know so check it out if your interested 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

myco Posted January 29, 2012 (edited) unfortunately weed wars only had 4 episodes and is now over im pretty sure the reason is that theyre being sued over the show because a woman won a competition to be able to pitch a show to the discovery channel she pitched her show which was about a different dispensary somewhere else in america she called the show "greener pastures" and it was basically weed wars however the discovery channel said sorry its to edgy for us and well basically we're not gonna do it a very short time later weed wars emerged so discovery is now being sued and weed wars just fell off the map after just 4 episodes with no explanation as far as i can tell i might be wrong that this is why its not on anymore but this is wat seems to be the case if this is the case its a pity i liked they show but i also think she has every right to sue over it thats fuked up Edited January 29, 2012 by myco Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

chnt Posted January 30, 2012 i watched the hallucinogens ep last night, the first i've seen of season 2. the doco felt a lot different than the last season, and some of the stuff being said didn't seem very accurate (ie - the ayahuasca vine contains harmalas not dmt) it seemed to show hallucinogens in a much more negative light then they could have. can anybody who's watched it please let me know their thoughts? Unfortunately the narrator guy's douchey voice kind of ruined it for me too, and I miss the guy from last season. Perhaps you already realise this since I told you as we were watching it. chnt Posted February 4, 2012 after watching all of season 2, i have to say it was remarkably different from season one, it seemed very biased, at least compared to season 1. surely someone can comment about season 2 also. i felt it had an anti-drugs/pro-prohibition agenda. it even mentioned that cannabis (well hash since the doco was about hash) can cause schizophrenia, which has not only not been proven, but effectively disproved by prof. david nutt in his seminar titled "how to get the media to talk about drugs" (possibly not word for word) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
