Quill Posted September 29, 2011 On the upside MCR fans are much easier to push past than metalheads. Any good names yet Jon?
Jonstn Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) Good point!! Gotta start elbowing some trees get em nice and tough lol This is the first announcement, they are going to say 3 headliners tomorrow morning on trips j: Best Coast Foster The People Cage The Elephant The Getaway Plan Girl Talk Frenzal Rhomb Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All The Jezabels Battles Architecture In Helsinki Mariachi El Bronx Parkway Drive Boy & Bear Hilltop Hoods Röyksopp The Living End There's a couple good ones in there, frenzal, boy and bear, jezebels, foster the people. There would be more there but no songs are coming to me Just hoping the second announcement/headliners make up for it, quite a bit on there I'm not fond of (mcr, living end, hilltop hoods, parkway drive) but that's just me, these bands seem somewhat popular. Foo Posted September 30, 2011 Portishead are doing shows in Perth and Adelaide too. Just got my tickets The BDO lineup looks less then impressive, but ive felt the same about the past 3 lineups. I think i might just volenteer again rather then pay to get in if the second anouncement isnt impressive.
Jonstn Posted November 8, 2011 Big Day Out 2012 line-up (Updated) Second Announcement Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds The Vaccines Nero Kimbra Regurgitator Bluejuice Drapht Tonight Only Abbe May Shockone Cavalera Conspiracy Art vs Science – East Coast Dasracist – East Coast Miss Kittin – East Coast Kitty – East Coast Daisy & Lewis – East Coast Papa vs Pretty – East Coast Amity Affliction – East Coast King Cannons – East Coast Faker – East Coast Calling All Cars – East Coast Stonefield – East Coast T-Rek! – East Coast http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/big-day-out-2012-lineup-second-announcement-live/ Along with this mornings second line up announcement Big Day Out organisers have made some changes to the festival in Perth and Adelaide. Both dates will now one main stage, and has trimmed some acts off the bill. Organisers believe that while it’s a shame that it has been scaled down, it will also help recapture the early days vibe of the festival. Big Day Out 2012 Perth Changes Kanye West, Hilltop Hoods and Mariachi El Bronx will not be on the line up. The Perth leg of the festival will also be moving from Claremont Showground to Brownes Stadium in Lathlain Park Big Day Out 2012 Adelaide Changes Kanye West, The Living End and also Mariachi El Bronx will not be on the line up. http://musicfeeds.com.au/news/big-day-out-2012-perth-and-adeliade-shows-downsized-info/ I vote cheaper tickets for SA and WA

Psylo Posted November 9, 2011 I'm so sick of rock (pop) festivals. Maybe it's a new generation of engineers, but the sound quality is fucking terrible these days. I vowed that Soundwave 2011 was the last one I will ever attend. Next years had me very tempted by the lineup, but no, Im opting out. Same goes for venue acts as well, in general. The sound is poor. That's my 2cents.
