Day dreamer, that must be me ( Amazonian),lol. The spider plant does have tuber like root thingies if i remember correctly, so that sounds like a pos' ID. The marvel of Peru ( pic 5) has flowers that open up at around dusk. The scent is amazing. I have seen the flowers deep pink, yellow and variegated yellow and pink.
