Thick cactus

It's possible it's Ferocactus but I really don't know.  

Great specimen though, I'm interested to know what it is and if the seed capsules on the

cactus would be worth collecting, there are heaps of them.  I don't know if it's self fertile

or if there's another one nearby that I couldn't see.  No one was home so didn't want to go

in the yard.  Might be worth collecting some seed later though.  

I didn't see the flowers but going by the seed pods there must have been heaps.
