My collection

Recommended Posts

I have mostly Pedros that I took cuttings and rooted. The pups on the stumps are getting pretty big. I have 5 torches, a cuzco, and 4 tiny bridgesii seedlings. Getting a couple more from trades so the collection is going to get bigger. Enjoy folks.

I saw Hutchs' av the other day and I thought it was MagicF, I suppose we just associate it with what we're used to.

Nice collection you have there man!

Those four in the first pic on the right look like they've been through hard times, but they look like they are on the improve now.

Were they left horizontal for a while ?

It's good to see you here too man. :shroomer:

Yeah, the four on the right were left horizontal when I was callousing and they got exposed to light and had etoliated growth that were light green but when I placed them outside, they darkened. I just think of it that I gave them some character lol.

Hi magicF, I'm still fairly fresh with cactus growing, I was wondering how long you left them to callous, that lead to the curved growth

I actually left them horizontal for about 6 weeks. Problem was I forgot to leave them in a totally dark place and they had etoliated growth while reaching for the damn sun. Of course, that just makes them more unique haha.

I was actually thinking of cutting off the curve part and rooting those but the curve is beginning to rub off on me.

ok, I guess you could grow a spiral then if you slowly turned the cactus, probably take a little while tho.

Yeah, that's what they do with training trees and lucky bamboo. You just got to do a small turn everyday and then the cactus would bend towards the light.

Found these walking though my local nursery, who would have thought you can find a TBM sitting in a nursery?
