are the fruit edible? I am sure I have some edible carissa fruit somewhere in the garden. C.macrocarpa maybe?

just how toxic is this plant and how spiny? always worried about arrow poisons from spiny plants ;)

hey torsten, this species has no spines at all... not sure how toxic this species is or if the fruit are edible?...

the fruit released copious milky latex when picked... the flesh of the fruit is slightly milky while the stems and leaves release loads of milky sap...

does Carissa macrocarpa release milky sap from its fruit?...

at the fruit stem is does, yes. never actually eaten one, so not sure about the fruit, though I can't see milky fruit being all that palatable.
