Atlas Posted July 4, 2010 Does anyone know of uses for Mimosa pudica? I have been searching but it does not seem to contain any properties of the closely related hostilis or tenuiflora, does anyone have confirmation on this? Apart from mimosine perhaps being using for antiproliferative and apoptotics. Any enth uses?

Mycot Posted July 7, 2010 Ott mentions M.pudica as being one of the Jurema's so it is entirely possible that one of the varieties of this species has properties similar to M.tenuiflora. Alkaloid profile studies of the different varieties are however wanting. Australia has at least three varieties of the species that are naturalised.
