ID on some columnar cacti from kmart

Question

Hi all,

Just wanted to see if anyone can ID these cacti I got from kmart? I think one is a pachanoi? They are all quite small, about 8-9cm in height.

Nice plants!

the middle one seems like a trichocereus for sure, pachanoid or pachanoi/scop hybrid would be my first guesses...

The other two look a lot like Pilosocereus azureus , of which I got 3 or 4 plants. Nice for grafting too.

Cheers and welcome to the forum :)

the two blue ones are pilocereus azureus & my money says the middle one is a cereus of some kind. ribs look too deep for a tricho. post a top view of it.

I'll vote for scop for the middle guy. But I've never grown it from seed so not sure what the seedlings look like.

The middle one is a pachanoi or a scop, no doubt.

The ribs look perfect for one.

yep what others have said...did you put that sand around the base of those plants...?

Usually k-mart plants are Hamiltons cactus and come with pebbles as a surface mulch...that sand will encourage moisture retention right where you don't want it, i would be brushing that sand away and just leave pebbles other wise you will have problems.
