Felix Posted August 11, 2004 Are there any quarantine restrictions on mailing live plants to victoria? Several packages of perfectly legal plants sent on different occasions never made it to the would-be recipient. Then, mail sent to me from victoria from the same person days later was returned to the sender by a postal van accompanied by a council car!? Mail said "no such address" even though address was correct. Blacklisted for some unknown...???
gomaos Posted August 11, 2004 that's very strange indeed... postal van accompanied by council car? Very strange indeed...

gerbil Posted August 11, 2004 council car? sounds weird. Did they come to the door and have a talk or did the person see them pull up and drive off? seems kind of pointless if they came and went. I'm not aware of any restrictions (besides weeds and other illegals obviously), i didn't even know that packages are intercepted and checked? x-post and normal, i have never had any problems, only with x-post is when you forget to sign the no dangerous good declaration, and it gets returned, or sent by road, can't really remember.
